Mercedes-Benz has begun assembling the electric GLC from imported knocked-down kits at its plant in Chakan, near Pune in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Chakan is the second site for assembling the new EV from kits, after Thailand's Thonburi Automotive Assembly Plant (TAAP), and overall its fourth production site worldwide.
